Buying Shares

BY Greg Dempsey

The first thing we are going to look at is if we are buying shares, you may already have shares or you may not. To give you an example, we are going to treat buying shares as a business so if we are going to invest in a business, then what we want to look at is how to determine what price to be buying shares at. You're really buying a business.

The first thing we want to do is find out some information about the shares (business). Now a lot of the necessary information can be obtained through the newspaper or via the internet for free. You don't need to spend $10,000 on a software package. I'm not saying those sorts of programs aren't of any value, I'm just saying to keep things simple. I don't use software; I keep it so simple because I treat buying shares as a business.

I want a profitable enterprise that ideally works without me and what I love about the strategies I use in buying shares is they take 5 or 10 minutes a month to manage, yet produce phenomenal Cashflow. That's a good business.
